RESIDENCY 2023 SUMMER GROUP SHOW
Private View June 22nd, 6-9 pm
The Muse gallery are delighted to present works by, Matthew Dardart, Lauren Goldie, Khrystyna Khmil and Eleni Maragaki in RESIDENCY 2023 Summer Group Show.
Dardart is an artist working in the medium of Sculpture. He currently live in Brighton where he is studying Fine Art: Sculpture at the University of Brighton. He has been making sculptures for three years and has shown works to the public five times during that period through undergraduate shows and outside collective exhibitions. A lot of Dardart's work consists of freestanding sculptures, but he has worked with performance and video in the past. He is interested in exploring the relationship between materials and how sculpture can encourage curiosity and call for different ways of seeing.
Goldie is a London-based artist and MA graduate from Central Saint Martins. She is a recipient of the 22/23 Zsuzsi Roboz Scholarship, the 21/22 UAL UK/EU Postgraduate Award and winner of the 2022 Cecil Collins Memorial Award. Goldie has exhibited in solo exhibitions at the Bankside Artist Space in London and the Winchester Gallery. Her research is astrophysical, exploring storytelling and the imagery to confront real, environmental issues.
Khmil (b. 1992) is a Ukrainian artist. She was living in Kyiv when the war started and I had to flee. Today, she made London her home. Khmil studied Paintings at the Shevchenko College of Fine Arts. I am a 2019 magna cum laude graduate in Painting and Composition with Mykola Storozhenko at the National Academy of Arts and Architecture. Her artistic research focuses on themes such as the study of personal identity, connections and communication, human freedom and stereotypes, using different mediums including graphic design, digital art, AR and VR technology.
Maragaki is a visual artist born in Athens, Greece. She studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (2013-2018) and MA Fine Art in Central Saint Martins, UAL (2020-2022), as a recipient of the Mona Hatoum Bursaries Award. I work with sculpture, drawing, printmaking and video.
