Thanks to our coop with Open Art Spaces, Kensington + Chelsea Art Week and the RBKC Street Trading Office, a Portobello Market stall becomes a vehicle of female empowerment. Many of the artists are professionals, whose work and lives have been disrupted by war, and other forms of threat and violence.
KarmaBank has seeded some of the art production through micro-grants for art materials.

During the 3 day Refugee Art Market at Portobello Karmabank is hosting painting workshops. Please follow links for more information:

Workshop with Samira Kitman:
This workshop will be run by the talented Afghani calligrapher, humanitarian, chef, artist and social impact project developer Samira Kitman. Samira will demonstrate and teach the art of making greeting cards from traditional motifs & patterns of Afghanistan.
