MARCUS LYON
Marcus Lyon (b.1965) was born and raised in rural England and studied Political Science at University. Commissioned and exhibited globally, his works are held in both private and international collections, including the Detroit Institute of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Arts Council Collection (UK) and the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Washington DC. The 21st century saw his work move beyond traditional forms as he began to incorporate sound & science into his practice. He has created extensive bodies of work on dance, identity & globalisation. Outside the art world, Lyon is a determined social entrepreneur: A TED speaker, he currently serves as a Board Director of Somerset House and Leader’s Quest as well as supporting BLESMA and Home-Start UK as an Ambassador.

NICO KOS EARLE
Nico (b. Dublin, 17.03.1975) spent her formative years in Ireland, Portugal, United States, South Africa and France, and holds an MA in Literature with Philosophy from Trinity College, Dublin. The daughter of an artist, she is a member of the Critics Circle, with a blog @_thecolourproject, @poemsforpaintngs, and @nicokos Artlyst called The Artist’s Statement. (www.nicokos.com)

Her work is highly collaborative and focused on developing artists in early to mid career through storytelling across all platforms, in addition to acting as liaison for exhibitions. She regularly writes art features for numerous titles in addition to catalogue and title essays for Ibid Gallery, Art Bastion, Cadogan Contemporary, JGM Art, Phoenix Arts, for a wide range of artists like Hamish Mackie, Suki Jobson, Deborah Tarr, Simon Allison, Nancy Cadogan, Chris Levine, and Andrea Hamilton (https://www.nicokos.com/writing). In addition to curating for galleries, she curates major group shows including: Botanicae, Sense of Place, Drift, Surface, Light Works (https://www.nicokos.com/lightworks) and three ocean conservation shows for Blue Marine Foundation at AH Studios (Blue Edition, Artists for Blue and Blue Mind - opening 23 June, 2021). As corporate artist liaison she has commissioned, liaised and delivered major public art projects, most recently with Simon Allison of Lockbund Sculpture to deliver eight monumental sculptures on behalf of Merchant Cantos for Merck. Nico is currently working on a number of projects: a series of essays and short film segments for ‘The Unseen’; artist profile essays for Bones Collective; poems for paintings; Lockbund Gallery expansion; and an ongoing collaboration with Andrea Hamilton The Colour Project.
