Zone 8 - Old Chelsea + King's Rd
300 Kings Rd, SW3 5UH
Mon - Sun: varying hours
Curator BELLA BONNER-EVANS and the 28:50 team are honoured to be showing the work of a highly collectable burgeoning talent, LAYLA ANDREWS. Her semi-surreal paintings often present anthropomorphic crocodiles, cowboys, and crabs in uncanny situations, dining in restaurants, or hanging out together.
There is something gently amusing about bringing her renderings into this space, as they reflect back a rather distorted image of the contemporary diner. Her large-scale crab sculptural installation brings an unexpected delight to 28:50, allowing those enjoying a glass of fine wine or a meal to marvel at the crustacean spectacle.
28°-50° brings the magic of the group’s esteemed French and modern European cuisine and wine to SW3 offering simple, seasonal dishes and an award-winning wine collection. Situated on the iconic King’s Road in a late Victorian bank, the brand is known for exceptional service and relaxed atmosphere, whether customers are seated at the bar, on the private terrace or in the bright and airy dining room.
