As part of KCAW x Chelsea Windows, Peggy Porschen Parlour in Chelsea’s Kings Road features canvases by emerging artist Emile Fitzgerald.
Contemporary artist Emilie Fitzgerald graduated from City and Guilds of London Art School in Fine Art and was shortlisted in 2019 for the Collyer Bristow Exceptional Award. Fitzgerald creates nostalgic, playful paintings of imaginary, surreal table settings, including delicious sweet treats, exploring themes of temptation and seduction.
“As Creative Director at Peggy Porschen, I am passionate about art and I love that our Chelsea Parlour is located in an area that has such a rich artistic heritage. Being part of Kensington + Chelsea Art week is a natural fit for us, and it is fantastic to be able to support emerging talent like Emilie. What I particularly loved about her work is her whimsical style, as well as her use of pastel candy colours and illustrated lines. Of course, the fact she loves cake and all things sweet, meant that the work instantly spoke to me – I feel we have a lot in common”
