Anna Woodward is a London based artist and curator who creates large scale abstract work that investigate the female representation within classical paintings that depict Greek Mythology. Anna creates oil paintings on canvas and works in a series of layers to create depth and form within her work. The starting point of Anna’s process is to create an abstract collage that references the movement and forms of different classical paintings, often figurative, depicting a myth or theme within the tale. In January 2020, Anna set up the online platform The Artists Contemporary to support and promote contemporary artists and the platform has now expanded into The Artists Contemporary Podcast, The Atelier, The Writers’ Residency and physical and virtual exhibitions. As an artist, Anna has exhibited widely across the UK, most recently at the Freelands Painting Prize 2020.

During KCAW21, Woodward's work is on display at Sheridan on King's Road.
