Words on the Hill is an audiovisual installation. Created by artist Maya Sanbar together with The Coronet Theatre, it forms part of the KCAW20 Public Art Trail.

Opening on National Poetry day, this outdoor installation celebrates the power of words through sound and a visual landscape of poems climbing up to the sky, at the iconic Coronet Theatre building on Notting Hill Gate.

Words and images are sewn into 80 metres of cloth, while a soundscape of classic and contemporary poetry is broadcast in a multitude languages. This is an ode to the curative power of self expression, that transcends cultural differences, celebrating the musicality of words sounding as expressively as they feel.
Soundscape composed by Amit Rai Sharma, created with Maya Sanbar.
