anytime during KCAW20

To celebrate the third edition of KCAW and in order to give greater visibility to locally based creative talent, KCAW20 launched an Open Call to writers and spoken word artists to submit poems to be displayed in the windows of participating venues throughout the borough.

Find Richa Jain's poem Because Someone on the windows of Alveston Fine Art.

"What now is Art was once the cry of a man. A cry of love, of remorse, of anger, of injustice, of discrimination, of madness, of unease, of revolt. Art brings attention to deep-rooted social evils. The poem depicts the mechanics, how art plays a catalyst in bringing about changes in society."
