Join KCAW and Goldfinger Factory for special Private Views + Artist Talks for the Open Doors Exhibition.
Celebrating the enduring creativity of the borough, KCAW has been busy during lockdown, collaborating with Maya Sanbar of Chasing the Light studio and Damian Rayne of Muse Films to produce 10 films with artists working across the borough.
KCAW has joined forces with North Kensington’s premier design and maker social enterprise, Goldfinger Factory, to present the Open Doors films on a big screen in HD. The films will be showing daily in Goldfinger Factory’s showroom underneath Trellick Tower on Golborne Road, alongside an exhibition of the artists’ works from the films, and an opportunity to view and purchase original artworks and stunning behind-the-scenes photographs. With artists ranging from Terence Stamp performing live on stage, to Lucille Dweck painting en plein air in Hyde Park, Open Doors highlights
the diversity and commitment of the creative community in RBKC.
There will also be the opportunity to visit Goldfinger Factory’s workshop and see a maker at work, while exploring their collection of sustainable furniture and lifestyle products, including items from their partner social enterprise ISHKAR, who promote craftsmanship from countries that have been affected by conflict.
The Open Doors Films will be shown on loop throughout the festival. Lunch, coffee and cakes will be on offer in Goldfinger Factory’s in-house Sicilian café Panella.
