Fantasies of Exhibition Road
Zone 9 - Digital Zone
When:
anytime online from 5 Oct
Fantasies of Exhibition Road is a collaboration between Imperial College London who lead the Great Exhibition Road Festival (GERF), KCAW, and co-curator and participating artist Remi Rough alongside other International artists.
The project sees a diverse collection of artists create digital fantasies of iconic places on or around Exhibition Road in Albertopolis. Artists are invited to re-imagine the iconic street and its buildings, inspired by the location and their engagement with Imperial world-leading research on the project theme of Mental Health and Wellbeing.
The Fantasy Project concept was launched by Ian Davenport in March during the Covid -19 UK lockdown, when physical places could only be visited virtually, and experiences shared on social media at a time when the world was connected mainly by digital technology.
See Exhibition Road in a whole new light as it is transformed by a diverse collection of artists and discover fantastical digital visions of the iconic buildings in our cultural quarter.
