Art by local Artists

Notting Hill Fine Art Gallery

Zone 2 - Notting Hill + Holland Park

Notting Hill Fine Art Gallery, 153 Portobello Road, W11 2DY

Open daily 11am -7pm

This three-week visual arts exhibition part of Black History Month showcases a range of work from local artists including; paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces. The event will provide a rare platform in the heart of Portobello for local artists to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting with curatorial and invigilation support. The event will continue NHVAF’s commitment to support local artists to explore visual arts as a means of artistic expression that provokes different responses.

The Notting Hill Visual Arts Forum / Portobello Group of Artists was set up in 1988 to support local artists in the borough with opportunities to present and share their work with local audiences. Historically there has been a shortage of appropriate venues and forums that address the needs of local artists as these facilities are often costly and beyond their means. Above all the key objective is to promote inter cultural and inter generational exchange. The collective involves a range of artists; some formerly trained and others who are self-taught, reflecting the diversity of the local community. The Notting Hill Visual Arts Festival happens annually and is greatly anticipated event in the local arts calendar.
