The Green Fuse

Frestonian Gallery

until 4 July

Frestonian Gallery is delighted to announce their reopening following the temporary closure over the Covid-19 lockdown period. The group exhibition THE GREEN FUSE is a celebration of Spring, Summer, renewal, and the landscape – both real and imagined. The title refers to the 1934 Dylan Thomas poem The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower, a powerful invocation of the spirit of energy and the will to recover and regrow, that exists in all of nature.

The show itself spans over 100 years of artistic endeavour and includes works by Adrian Berg, Tim Braden, Hannah Brown, Anna Freeman Bentley, Luke Elwes, Sam Herman, David Hockney, Egle Jauncems, Harry Phelan Gibb, David Price, Bridget Riley and Michaela Yearwood-Dan.
