FRINGE WEEK PARTY + Poetry reading + live painting

The Exhibitionist Hotel, the headquarters of FRINGE WEEK, will once again throws open its doors, this time presenting Dan Taylor's 'Electric Dreams'.

Taylor, a visionary whose work draws inspiration from the pop art dynamism of figures like Jean-Michel Basquiat, will captivate audiences with his bold, colour-filled works. Taylor's art combines fine art intricacy with pop culture energy, crafting pieces that both arrest the eye and evoke deep emotional responses.

Reading by Aishwarya Gupta

Aishwarya Gupta is an eleven-year-old writer, performer, and all-round young talent with a remarkable list of achievements across literature, music, and dance.

Passionate about writing, Aishwarya has received several accolades for her poetry. She has won the Kensington and Chelsea Poetry Corner competition, the Young Poets Network Prize, and the City of London Poetry Contest. Her poem “Bang Thud Crash”, which powerfully captures the experiences of a refugee, was selected for the AIM London Literature Festival.

In 2024, she was invited as the keynote speaker at the Roald Dahl Museum in the UK, as part of an event organised by Author in Me Publishers. Her poem “Your Voice Matters” received widespread acclaim, and the second edition of her book was launched in New Delhi by esteemed author Dr Shashi Tharoor and Milee Aishwarya of Penguin Random House.

Beyond writing, Aishwarya has made her mark in music and Indian classical dance, performing at notable events including the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Downing Street in 2022. She has also appeared on the BBC Breakfast Show and was invited to meet members of the Royal Family, including the Duchess of Cambridge, at Westminster Abbey.

A passionate advocate for young readers, Aishwarya hopes to inspire others to discover the joys of reading and writing. Proceeds from the sale of her books support arts-based charities.

The Exhibitionist Hotel

The Exhibitionist Hotel is a constantly evolving artwork. The hotel curator, Vestalia Chilton, has worked on a range of projects to bring colour and adventure to the walls of the Art Corridors, the Bar and Reception galleries downstairs, and a total takeover from the siter hotel, The Gainsborough, opposite the road by artist Sasha Bowles inspired by the age of Enlightenment and the collections of the museums next door such as the Natural History Museum and the V&A.
