Zara Hudson-Kozdoj is a Polish-Jamaican cellist, composer and conductor.

Born and bred in North London, she was awarded a scholarship and bursary to study at the Royal College of Music where she completed both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Cello Performance and Conducting. This summer she completed a residency at Studio Richter-Mahr (an opportunity given to her by Max Richter and Yulia Mahr for emerging artists) where she recorded her debut album. The album encompasses many genres and styles that have influenced her throughout her life and can be thought of as a soundtrack to her experiences. The album is currently unreleased, and live shows are being booked as a 40 min set from 2025.

Alongside her solo work, Zara is part of Max Richter’s live and recording band and is part of Celeste’s band, as well as playing regularly with Chineke!
