We are a non-profit organisation founded in 2018 by volunteering arts professionals. We rely on our partners and volunteers to help us with many visitors who enjoy the festival. Volunteering gives behind the scenes of the festival - another way to get to know local museums and galleries.

About
Volunteers will lend vital visitor engagement support, connecting with people across the borough. Acting as sources of knowledge for KCAW programme and the local area in general, volunteers will provide visitor information and guidance. Volunteers will also be offered opportunities to assist the our amazing team with production and marketing.
+ Stewards Volunteers will be located at Public Art installations and other key locations throughout the borough. From these hubs, they will provide valuable details on the artworks, their makers, and KCAW in general for visitors.
+ Marketing Volunteers will be invited to document the festival and actively contribute to KCAW social media platforms.
+ Production Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with the production of KCAW, working on site as runners during the installation of exhibition, public art, and distribute material to participating venues. Volunteers will also assist with the installation of signage and wayfinding.

+ Friendly with a sociable disposition + Passionate about the arts + Reliable with good timekeeping + Motivated and intuitive
TIME COMMITMENT
Ideally we are seeking volunteers to be able to commit 8-16 hours of their time per week for the duration of the festival. We pride ourselves on being flexible to the individual timings and needs of our volunteers and will rota accordingly.
EXPENSES
KCAW will reimburse volunteers for inner-city public transport and lunch against receipts (to a maximum amount yet to be specified). Volunteers will be required to fill in expense forms and return these to the the festival manager upon commencement of their volunteering.

TRAINING + SUPPORT
In depth training will be provided and support offered prior to, and during, KCAW and Art Trail, including:
+ How to promote positive visitor interaction with members of the public + Briefing on all activity across the borough during the festival + Follow up interview offered with each volunteer following the festival
