This introduction to quilting course run by quilter and artist Jodie Glen-Martin is a taster for anyone curious to learn about quilting by making a beautiful sample piece from the get-go. No previous experience of hand sewing required, all materials and tools will be provided. You will learn the basic techniques by making a beautiful patchwork hexagon flower block which may grow into your first quilt or end up as a decorative patch on an item of clothing, turn into a brooch, an appliquéd detail on a tote bag or even a patch to repair your favourite cashmere jumper or holey jeans. The basic techniques taught are very simple so do not be put off if you cannot sew for toffee and beautiful Liberty fabric samples will be prepared for you so we guarantee by the end of the session you will have made something you can be proud of. All we need is your enthusiasm and three hours of your time. Suitable for adults and teenagers.
